The exotic island of Mauritius lies off the southeast coast of Africa, a mere 900km from Madagascar. From the summer months of November to May, Mauritius experiences humid conditions with daily averages reaching highs of 25°C. Due to the high-pressure factor, the rainy-season is January and February can present torrential downpours and thunderstorms on-occasion. From May to November, the island’s warm and dry winter is the perfect time to visit, with a cooler average of 20°C and a low chance of rain.
